I hoped to find a way to take the strain off of your soul that mine would be putting on it, but I thought better of it back then, and it would definitely not be a good idea now. I don't want to be bound to anybody else anyway. Just you. I would think that a lifelong commitment would count as something a little bit more than only a short-term romantic partner."
Viktor did not actually think of the word marriage because to him that was something that only people in Piltover did, and that was often an alliance between wealthy and powerful families. But that level of commitment was accurate to how he felt.
